Located in Northern Greece, Halkidiki consists of three peninsulas, jutting out into the Aegean Sea. Kassandra, the westernmost peninsula is the most developed of the three, with its modern resorts, exciting nightlife and beautiful scenery, both along the coast and further inland. The Town of Hanioto is popular, with a village square and evening markets.
Sithonia is the next peninsula over, more wild and rugged than Kassandra. Enjoy the great outdoors, explore secluded coves and untouched bays, and discover many walking trails through the pine forests and tiny fishing villages.
Mount Athos is the easternmost peninsula and is strictly off limits to visitors. With its untouched beaches, sheltered bays and quaint picturesque villages, Halkidiki is one of the best kept secrets in Greece.
