Map: Cyprus

Holidays in Cyprus are filled to the brim with year round sunshine, historical sights, fine dining and miles of gorgeous coastlines.

The island is split into two main airport arrival areas, the Larnaca region is located to the east, home to resorts such as Ayia Napa, popular with young and lively crowds at the height of the summer and the bustling town of Limassol.

Over in the western side of the island, families and couples will love the laid back lifestyle in the western side of the island. The charming harbour town of Paphos plays host to a selection of waterfront bars and tavernas and plenty of bargains can be found at the old town’s market.

Many of the beaches in Cyprus consist of shingle, with stretches of sand. Along the east coast of the island, the areas in Larnaca have fine sandy beaches with shallow waters, which are great for family beach holidays. There are many water sports centres around the various resorts who provide a wide range of activities including wakeboarding, jet skiing and parasailing. Coral Bay has lots of little coves, good for diving.

There is a little something for everyone from quiet relaxing evenings to full on partying. If you are looking for chilled out nights watching the world go by, the resort of Polis has a great selection of bars and restaurants. And for the party animals out there, there is only one place to head for and that’s the clubber’s paradise of Ayia Napa. Endless bars and nightclubs await you in this legendary resort that will have you dancing the night away before you know it.
